New Webzine asks pet owners to horse around

Mong, a new weekly Webzine specializing in information about pets

Korea’s first weekly Webzine specializing in information about pets is set to kick off today.

Mong magazine will launch in tandem with the Pet MD Web site (www.petmd.vitaminmd.co.kr), the portal’s operator Hansol Healthcare said in a statement.

Mong will carry photos and videos of the “Hottest Dogs of the Week” and the cartoon “My Name is Mokpo,” which is based on the writer’s life with his pet dog, who was once a stray.

The site will also accept contributions from readers wanting to write about their pets and will select one or two stories for publication.

Meanwhile, Pet MD will provide users with information on animal health and grooming, adopting a pet and keeping pets healthy in their twilight years, Hansoil Healthcare said.

The unit of the Hansol business group currently operates Vitamin MD, a portal for human health care.

The Webzine and Web portal are available only in Korean.
