K-pop group Beast successfully wrapped up its first concert in Singapore on March 3. According to its agency, the concert -- the fourth stop on the “Beautiful Show” world tour -- drew more than 5,500 fans to the venue.
“Despite the sweltering 32 degrees, fans flocked early to the Expo Max Pavilion to catch a glimpse of the band before the performance,” said a spokesperson from Cube Entertainment.
In addition, more than 10,000 band memorabilia sold out within 30 minutes of going on sale.
At the highly anticipated show, Beast wowed fans with hit songs such as “Shock,” “Breathe” and “Fiction.” Twenty-four songs were sung in total, and each of the six members performed solo acts.
“We’ve been to Singapore before, but never for an extended amount of time as this time. Tonight’s show was our first, and it was as hot as the weather here,” said the group’s leader Yoon Du-jun.
The band held a press conference ahead of the concert, where local and international media outlets from the Philippines, Hong Kong and China attended to interview the band.
Beast will take their world tour to Indonesia next on March 17.
