Watchdog sees unfair practices cases jump 85%
The number of cases involving corporate fines for unfair business activities in Korea jumped 85 percent last year, as the nation’s antitrust watchdog toughened its crackdown on price rigging and other corporate malpractices, data showed yesterday.The Fair Trade Commission said it imposed fines totaling 571 billion won ($510 million) on 61 corporate malpractice cases last year.
