A friend of mine used to work as a senior researcher at ⓐthe Google headquarters in ⓑthe United States. Last year, he quit the coveted job and returned to Korea to start up a new company. The reason for his resignation from the "divine company" ⓒwas rather ironic. "I loved Google so much, and I thought if I had worked there any longer, I ⓓwouldn't be able to leave at all. I wanted to establish a company as great as Google."

ⓐ the Google headquarters → Google’s headquarters Google은 고유명사로 관사 불필요, 누구나 아는 곳이나 공공시설물도 아니므로 the headquarters라고 하는 것도 맞지 않음
ⓑ the United States → California.

ⓒ …was rather ironic.
ⓓ wouldn’t → wouldn’t have been 과거의 가정임
