Koreans dominate speedskating worlds
HEERENVEEN, Netherlands - Olympic champions Mo Tae-bum and Lee Sang-hwa of Korea won the 500-meter titles at the speedskating single distance world championships Sunday.Mo claimed the men’s prize at the season-ending event, clocking a combined 69.64 seconds over the two races to edge Dutchman Michel Mulder by just 0.01. Pekka Koskela of Finland took bronze.
In the women’s event, Lee took the top spot by winning both heats in a combined time of 76.12 to beat world sprint champion Jing Yu of China by 0.43.
