Small businesses backpedal on threat to ban Samsung Card

Two million small entrepreneurs have retracted their threat to launch a nationwide campaign refusing to ac-cept credit cards issued by Samsung Card.

According to the civic groups representing the entrepreneurs, Samsung Card has agreed to offer them numerous services including legal counsel-ing and accounting. It will also de-velop an exclusive card for small en-trepreneurs. The company also agreed to comply with revised legislation that bans it from discriminating among card users.

The private entrepreneurs earlier threatened to ban all Samsung cards as the company only charges U.S. re-tailer Costco 0.7 percent commission rates, while they have to pay between 1.6 and 1.8 percent.
