KDB sees Vietnam office as start of Asian branch network
State-owned Korea Development Bank (KDB) announced that it opened its branch office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, yesterday as part of its plan to expand overseas.The bank said it chose Vietnam as it is close to not only China but also other Southeast Asian countries. The country also has rapid growth potential due to its abundant labor force and natural resources, it added.
KDB remarked that it hopes to establish a network by connecting Singapore and Bangkok with the new office.
