DIY(do it yourself)

Caine is a nine-year-old boy who lives in Los Angeles. He ⓐhas built ⓑgame machines ⓒwith cardboard boxes in a corner of his dad's used auto part store. The boy with ⓓbrilliant imagination ⓔopened up his own arcade. He prepared winning prizes and came up with his own system of calculating points, ⓕbut he had no customers. One day, a young man stopped by and ⓖplayed a game. Then he fell in love with Caine's passion and started the "Caine's Arcade" project. He planned a flash mob on Facebook. Caine's father took him out on the day of the flash mob, and when he returned, he was surprised by people lining up in front of the arcade to play ⓗgame and celebrate.

ⓑ game machines → an arcade
ⓒ with cardboard boxes in a corner of his dad's used auto part store → in his dad’s used auto parts shop out of cardboard boxes
ⓓ brilliant imagination → a brilliant imagination 하나의 상상력이므로 부정관사 a 필요
ⓔ opened up his own arcade → set up different games
ⓕ but he had no customers. → but he had one major problem: No customers would enter his arcade.
ⓖ played a game → played some games in the arcade

From the news, I paid more attention to the surroundings of Caine than ⓐthe boy himself. Caine's father is a typical working-class citizen. He supports his son's original ideas with smile and watches him quietly. The used auto part store has all kinds of tools, offering the perfect space ⓑto realize Caine's imagination. Any "do-it-yourself" fans would envy the setting.

ⓐ the boy himself → to the boy himself than은 접속사로 그 뒤에 반복되는 구조는 생략할 수 있으나 전치사구에서 전치사만 따로 생략해서는 안됨
ⓑ to realize Caine's imagination → for Caine’s imagination
