Jang Keun-suk to sing for Japanese animation
Hallyu entertainer Jang Keun-suk is set to sing the theme song for a Japanese animation.According to his official Japanese Web site, Jang will sing the opening tune “200 Miles” for the animation “Fairy Tail,” to open in cinemas on Aug. 18.
The tune will also be included in his first solo album “Just Crazy,” which will launch on May 30.
“This is the first time that a song of mine has become a theme song for an animation. I hope that viewers will enjoy the movie and song,” said Jang.
The animation is based on a manga series following the adventures of Lucy Heartfilia, a teenage wizard who seeks to improve the world using magic. Written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima, it had been a weekly serial in the teenage magazine Weekly Shonen before being turned into a movie in 2006.
