Crying out for rescue
Oh Kil-nam holds a press conference on May 8 at the Korea Press Center in Seoul to appeal for help to rescue his wife Shin Sook-ja and his two daughters. Oh holds his book about his wife and two daughters, who have been trapped in the North after defecting there in 1985. Pyongyang sent an official reply to a UN enquiry about the fate of Shin and her two daughters. In the letter, Pyongyang stated that Shin died of hepatitis and two daughters refuse to deal with their father.
