Chinese not seen as threat to local smartphone makers yetChina’s mobile phone makers are not competitive enough to threaten their Korean rivals despite the former’s rise in the global market, a report said yesterday.
Korea Investment & Securities said in the report that even though companies such as ZTE and Huawei Technologies have risen as notable players in the global handset market, Korean manufacturers still have a sharper competitive edge.
“We believe Chinese players are unlikely to stand in the way of Korean firms in achieving growth,” it said.
