The No. 1 Wyverns host the last-place Eagles, who have yet to win in six games against the Incheon-based team this season.

The Wyverns are second in team ERA, but last in batting average; the Eagles are have the highest team ERA, but second best in batting average.

Wyverns pitchers will be tested by Eagles slugger Kim Tae-kyun, currently the only player in the KBO with a batting average over .400 (.407).

The Wyverns said they would tomorrow start their new foreign pitcher Dave Bush, who replaced injury-plagued Aquilino Lopez.

The K-League was silent for more than two weeks due to international matches, but teams resumed play Wednesday.

Defending champion Jeonbuk is coming off from 3-1 victory over Jeju United on Wednesday, ending Jeju’s nine-game undefeated streak at home.

Jeonbuk striker Lee Dong-gook and midfielder Kim Jung-woo are expected to come back on Sunday after finishing their international duties with Korea.

Lee, last year’s MVP, has scored seven goals so far, fourth best in the league. He will be supported by Eninho and Hugo Droguett from the midfield.

None of Daegu’s players were called for international duty, but their stamina will be tested after coming off an away match with the Chunnam Dragons yesterday.

Jung Hye-jin, who won her first last week since turning professional in 2005; and Lee Rye-jung, No. 2 in earnings, will each be looking for their second win of the season.
