Better late than never for KT with extensive LTE coverageDespite being the last mover in terms of 4G long-term evolution (LTE) connections, KT has wider regional coverage in the Seoul Metropolitan Area than its competitors LG U+ and SK Telecom, the carrier said yesterday.
Although KT jumped into the LTE business in January, six months after its two chief rivals, it has rapidly expanded its coverage by adding an average of 1,000 base stations per day, it said. KT launched its nationwide LTE network in April. Its base stations now total 144.
