Doosan Infracore bringing R&D facilities under one roofDoosan Infracore held a groundbreaking ceremony with CEO Kim Yong-sung and other company officials yesterday for an integrated R&D center at its Incheon factory.
Expected to be completed in early 2014, the new center will have the capacity to accommodate 1,000 personnel.
It will be divided into a construction machinery division and an engine division.
Doosan aims to bring together its scattered research facilities in order to maximize R&D synergy.
“We decided that research development skills and technologies must be integrated into one facility to ensure the highest level of development possible,” Kim said.
“The new center will become Doosan Infracore R&D’s global landmark.”
