Hope floats

A group of 96 university students attends a welcoming ceremony yesterday in front of Seoul Plaza. Named “Korea’s Hope Expedition,” the 96-member team will walk an average of nine hours covering 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) a day, starting Monday from Pohang, North Gyeongsang. The team will arrive in Seoul by foot on July 20, concluding a total of 493 kilometers on the trip. For every kilometer the expedition team walks, 10,000 won ($8.73) will be donated. [YONHAP]
