Yim Jae-bum holds his first fan meet
“To ...” is the 49-year-old’s first album in more than eight years.
When the fan meet component of the showcase began, Yim showed his shy side, saying, “This is my first fan meet and it’s super awkward.”
He joked that they should discuss something important, like national security, instead of him. But when a giant cake appeared on stage along with friends and longtime colleagues, Yim could hardly contain his excitement. “My goal from this point onward is to put others before myself. I don’t want anyone to feel anxious due to my behavior, worrying whether I’ll be a no-show at my own concert,” said Yim, referring to some low moments in his career when he was considered unstable.
The singer also explained that his new album contained messages about life.
“And until death, I will keep singing,” he said.
