Doosan Infracore nets W98B engine deal with PSI in U.S.

Doosan Infracore, Korea’s leading construction equipment maker, said yesterday that it has won a combined 98 billion won ($85.8 million) in orders to supply engine blocks and diesel engines.

Under an 86 billion won deal with U.S.-based Power Solutions, Inc. (PSI), Doosan Infracore will deliver 4,400 engine long blocks to the largest manufacturer of industrial-use gas engines in the U.S. by 2015, it said.

The engine long block consists of everything except the fuel systems and ignition systems, Doosan Infracore said. So far, Doosan Infracore has supplied a total of 1,050 engine long blocks to PSI.

In a separate 12 billion won deal, Doosan Infracore will also supply 800 diesel engines to Clark Equipment within this year, the company said.
