LG’s 55-inch OLED TVs a hit with Britain’s IT pundits
LG Electronics, the world’s No. 2 TV maker, has received an excellent review from a British IT media outlet for its 55-inch 3-D TVs, industry sources said yesterday. The tech giant’s LG EM9600 model, a 55-inch 3-D organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TV, made “the 2012 Cool List” in the August issue of British-based consumer magazine Stuff.
The list, which covers trendy electronic goods, said the model features a “top-notch” picture regardless of viewing angles, while making use of OLED technology previously only used for smaller screens.
The magazine added that the model boasts “incredible [four millimeter] depth and [one millimeter] bezel,” making it more attractive than other OLED TVs.
Other features including a motion-sensitive remote, passive 3D and 1,200 applications also contributed to the OLED TV’s competitiveness, it added. Yonhap
