German court rejects Apple’s call to ban sales of Galaxy tab
Samsung Electronics said yesterday it has won a design patent bid brought by Apple to ban sales of its modified Galaxy Tab tablet computers in Germany.The Dusseldorf appeals court upheld a lower-court ruling made in February. The Galaxy 10.1N is a modified version of Samsung’s original 10.1, the sales of which were blocked in Germany.
However, the court accepted Apple’s bid to impose a sales ban on the Galaxy Tab 7.7 in member countries of the European Union.
