The Korean Cultural Centre UK in London is showcasing traditional funeral biers as well as figurines. The exhibition is dubbed “Funerary Figures: Companions for the Journey to the Other World.” The wooden figurines, also known as kokdu take the form of humans, animals or supernatural beings. They were used to decorate the funeral bier as well as companions for the deceased. The items were provided by Kokdu Museum in Seoul. Provided by The Korean Cultural Centre UK
