Customers shop for watermelon at a discount store in Seoul yesterday. Due to the record-high heat wave and strong demand during the summer vacation season, the price of watermelon has skyrocketed. A whole watermelon sold for around 10,000 won ($8.80) early last week but as it neared the weekend the price had more than doubled. [NEWSIS]
