Honam Petrochemical unveils 5th annual sustainability report

Lotte Group’s Honam Petrochemical said yesterday it has published a 2011 sustainability report showing the achievements of its sustainable management activities last year, as well possible future developments.

First published in 2007, the annual report is the fifth to be released. It divides the main activities of Honam Petrochemical into four categories: sustainability, major trends, environmental protection and social responsibility.

For each section, the company lists the efforts it has made in line with its corporate strategy and how close it has come to achieving its goals, as well as targeted improvements.

In terms of sustainability, the company mentioned that it made the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, which evaluates the sustainable management of global companies.
