The big picture

The National Palace Museum of Korea within the grounds of Gyeongbok Palace reopened Aug. 1 after six months of renovation. It reduced the number of exhibition rooms from 12 to 10, while expanding the number of items on display from 900 to 2,000. It also became more tech-friendly. Visitors can get detailed views of some items through iPads. Provided by the museum
