As the monsoonal front moved north toward the peninsula, every region in the country saw rain falling yesterday. A torrential rainfall warning was issued yesterday for Seoul and its surrounding areas. Under the effects of the seasonal front, rainfall is expected to continue across the country today. The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasts the country’s central regions and northern Gyeonggi areas to have 50-100 millimeters of rain (1.9-3.9 inches) while some areas will be hit with 150 millimeters of rainfall by tonight.
