4Minute
4Minute recently took part in a recording for the Asia-wide singing-audition show “K-pop Star Hunt 2,” in which the girl group shared tips with aspiring singers from Macau and Singapore.
According to the group’s agency, the girl group talked to aspiring stars about what it takes to be a K-pop idol in particular. During its second season, the audition show will be co-hosted by Korean cable channel tvN and U.S.-based Fox. It will scour the Asian continent for talented hopefuls, giving them the chance to become the next big thing in K-pop.
Last year the show held auditions in five destinations: Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines.
This year is expected to be even bigger with the show holding more auditions far and wide. The winner will sign a contract with Cube Entertainment, to which 4Minute belongs. The program will air on some 10 channels across Asia. Currently, the K-pop group’s rapper Hyun-a is at the center of attention for having reworked Psy’s hit video “Gangnam Style.”
