The United Nations Office for Sustainable Development (Unosd) said it will hold a three-day international workshop from Wednesday in Songdo in Incheon, west of Seoul, with a focus on strengthening planning and implementation capabilities for sustainable development.
Established in 2011 by the UN and the Korean government, the Unosd works to support governments all over the world to implement international agreements on sustainable development.
The participants will share their experiences in pursuing sustainable development and have the chance to form cooperative relationships, the organizer said.
“The workshop will provide opportunities for building partnerships to further strengthened and streamlined capacity building and knowledge sharing efforts in a post Rio+20 context, especially if green economy policies are to be used as a tool to make transition towards sustainable development,” the Unosd said in a statement.
