Swansea’s Ki sustains injury, out one week
Ki Sung-yueng of Swansea City sustained a hamstring injury and will miss the upcoming Premier League match against Newcastle United, the Wales-based club said on its Web site on Monday.The 23-year-old Korean midfielder suffered the injury in the previous match against Southampton on Sunday, Swansea said.
Ki played the duration of that game, which ended in a 1-1 draw. The injury is minor and Ki will likely return after seven to 10 days, the club said.
There are rumors Ki may return to Korea briefly to attend his older sister’s wedding on Saturday.
