U.S. officials yesterday receive remains of two American soldiers killed during the 1950-53 Korean War from South Korean honor guards at the National Cemetery in Dongjak-dong, southern Seoul. The Defense Ministry’s excavation team said it recovered two sets of U.S. soldiers’ remains in South Chungcheong in May and June, and confirmed their identity after jointly conducting forensic analyses and DNA tests with the U.S. Joint POW-MIA Accounting Command in Hawaii.
