SM Town show dazzles Singapore

SM Entertainment artists drew a crowd to Marina Bay Floating Stadium on Friday at its first concert in Singapore.
According to SM on Sunday, more than 26,000 people saw BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation and SHINee, among others. Over four hours, 51 songs were performed, with many acts teaming up.
The agency said fans turned out despite the overcast weather and cheered their favorite singers on.
“The venue is a world-renowned place where only large scale international events take place. It was the first time that they let a commercial show take place there,” said an SM spokesperson.
Meanwhile, the agency’s tour continued to Thailand on Sunday.
SM is no stranger to setting records. Just last week, it was announced that its male duo group TVXQ will become the first Korean act to take on a “dome tour” in Japan. “Any concert hall with a ‘dome’ in it is a place where only the best get to stand. This proves just how big TVXQ is in Japan,” said an SM representative.
