Pablo Rosso

Pablo Rosso, former head of the Fiat India Commercial Project of Fiat Group Automobile SpA, has been appointed the new CEO of Chrysler Korea, the Fiat-Chrysler Asia-Pacific headquarters announced yesterday.

The top position at Chrysler’s local branch has been vacant for five months since Greg Phillips left the job for health issues.

Rosso has worked with Fiat for more than a decade. The Italian national started his career as a logistic engineer at Iveco SpA Engines Business Unit, a Fiat subsidiary, in 1998. His former positions include network development area manager for Western Europe for Alfa Romeo and sales manager for the Fiat, Lancia and Iveco brands.

“I am honored and delighted to join Chrysler Korea and look forward to meeting the new challenges ahead, including the Fiat launch next year,” Rosso said in a statement. “I will be committed to the Korean market by delivering great products and strengthening the quality of our services and network to our customers under the Fiat-Chrysler Group together with the employees of Chrysler Korea, leading us to a great success.”

The American auto brand has so far sold 3,735 vehicles this year in Korea, taking a 3.11 percent of the market, ninth among foreign auto makers.
