New tech from Hyundai unit can auto-adjust car lights
Hyundai Mobis, the nation’s?largest?manufacturer of automobile parts, said yesterday it has developed an active intelligent lighting system (AILS), marking a new first among local companies.The system adjusts the front head lamp of a vehicle automatically after receiving information from the car’s navigation system. It can read road conditions in advance and modify the angle of the lights accordingly at bends in the road.
The company expects the new AILS will reduce the number of nocturnal accidents.
