Korean bookstore site targets United States and Canada

A Korean bookstore chain has opened an online store for Korean-language books in North America.

Bandi & Luni’s said yesterday that Bandi Book U.S. (www.bandibookus.com), sells Korean books, music albums and DVDs to residents of the United States and Canada. Although the service is available only in Korean, the company plans to add an English site soon.

“We expect ethnic Korean residents wanting to hear news from their home country and foreigners interested in Korean culture to be our main consumers, riding the boom of Korean pop culture that has recently spread to the Americas,” a company official said.
