No probe

Kim Gyu-han, head of the Ssangyong Motors Labor Union, second from right, and leaders of civic groups and local community groups demand the National Assembly scrap its plan for an investigation into the automaker at a press conference yesterday at the Assembly. The company, its labor union and the local community gathered 110,000 signatures to ask the lawmakers to not politicize the company’s labor issues. Workers for the automaker said the Assembly’s probe would damage the firm’s reputation, worsen sales and jeopardize their jobs. [YONHAP]
