Officials of STX Offshore & Shipbuilding hold a ceremony to celebrate the naming of two 155,000 DWT (Deadweight Tonnage)shuttle tankers, the world’s largest, at its shipyard in Jinhae, South Gyeongsang, yesterday. The two tankers, Elka Leblon and Elka Parana, are named after Brazilian lakes. Unlike ordinary tankers, they will travel back and forth between offshore oil production facilities in the waters off Brazil and onshore oil-processing locations along the country’s coastline.
