2PM again on Japanese mag cover

The “Hallyu” special edition to go on sale Feb. 14 marks the third time the Hallyu boy band has landed the coveted position.
As it’s not every week that the magazine opts for people to decorate the cover, the feat is a remarkable one, especially for a foreign act.
“2PM’s Korean and Japanese albums are loved by Japanese fans and each of the six members appeals to a different age bracket,” said a Hanako spokesperson.
The fact that the group reached superstardom in Japan after just three years was another reason the group was picked.
Meanwhile, the group’s agency JYP Entertainment said the cover was hardly surprising.
“The fact that 2PM was picked shows just how big they are over there,” said a spokesperson from JYP.
The boy band is currently on its Japan Arena tour which will end next month. After a show in Tokyo in April, the group will set off for its Asian tour.
