Grand Hilton Seoul

Feb. 8?12: The hotel is offering three packages called Luck, Love and Joy during the Lunar New Year holiday.

The Luck package is 130,000 won ($120) and includes a one night stay. The Love package adds two movie tickets. The Joy includes a night in a grand suite for 170,000 won. Guests born in the year of snake receive a 15 percent restaurant discount.

Feb. 14: The hotel presents a “Valentine Day Kiss” package for couples. Package prices run from 215,000 won to 430,000 won depending on room type.

For an additional 100,000 won, the hotel will decorate rooms with balloons and flowers.

Reservations at least three days prior to arrival are required.

Feb. 14, 15: Korean restaurant Mugunghwa has invitesd Eric Trochon, executive chef at “Semilla, Paris” and winner of the Meilleur Ouvrier de France, to present a special Valentine’s Day menu.

Trochon will feature his own versions of Korean dishes, titled “Reinterpretation of Korean Cuisine.” Trochon’s Valentine’s Day specialties are priced at 300,000 for the lunch course and 500,000 for dinner. The prices are for two adults and include two glasses of wine. In addition, holders of Samsung VIP cards (Raume, The Platinum, The O) can make reservations through the Samsung card concierge and receive a 20 percent discount. Tax and service charges are included.

Millennium Seoul Hilton

Through February: The hotel’s international buffet restaurant, Orangerie, is having a Sri Lankan food promotion, including a fresh Sri Lankan rotti station, Oriental style baked fish with onions and more.

The Orangerie lunch buffet is priced at 64,000 won for adults and 38,400 won for children aged 12 and under. The dinner buffet is 69,000 won for adults and 41,400 won for children. Tax and service charges are included.

Feb. 14?17: The hotel has two special Valentine’s Day packages.

The “My Love Package” includes a night in a at deluxe room, praline chocolate set-up, two Valentine’s cocktails at the Trevi Lounge and two movie tickets. It is priced at 220,000 won, excluding tax and service charges.

The My Romance Package includes a night at deluxe room and a G.H. Mumm champagne and fruit platter. It is 310,000 won, excluding tax and service charges.For an extra 40,000 won, guests can enjoy breakfasts for two at Cafe Elysee.

Throughout the year: The hotel introduces “The Happiness” package tailored for families with a child aged 7 or younger.

It includes a night in the executive suite with a view of Seoul Plaza, Deoksu Palace and Gwanghwamun. breakfast for three at “The Seven Square” buffet restaurant and a Unicef coloring puzzle set.

The package is 390,000 won including tax and service charges.

Feb. 14: Dinner guests can join a “Do It Yourself” chocolate-making class valued at 100,000 won.

The dinner course starts from 170,000 won and includes a lobster salad and tenderloin steak with truffle sauce.

The chocolate-making class will be available from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 11.

Another option is the Pluto Propose Package, which offers a room for night and a candlelight dinner accompanied by a bottle of champagne. Prices start from 763,000 won.

Feb. 8?11: The hotel’s Happy Lunar New Year package includes a night at Douglas Room in the annex or a deluxe room in the main building for 190,000 won or 220,000 won, respectively, excluding tax and service charges.

To make your holiday more traditional, quality hangwa, or Korean traditional sweets, and lucky pocket, or bokjumeoni, will be giveen away. For breakfast, rice cake dumpling soup, the must-eat dish for Korean Lunar New Year, will be offered for a special treat.
