Samsung C&T setting itself up as safety instructor in Qatar
Samsung C&T has opened a safety training center in for a new city in Qatar to raise awareness of safety among local workers, it said yesterday.It is now building roads and other infrastructure for the 35-square-kilometer Lusail city, located 22 kilometers north of Doha. The city is due to be built by July 2014.
The center will provide opportunities for local workers to learn about the Korean builder’s well-established safety protocols, including fire drills and preventing falls at construction sites.
