The Yeol Society for Korean Cultural Heritage is holding an exhibition of Buyeo-inspired artwork through Feb. 15. From last March to January, the society, Prof. Choi Gong-ho of the Korea National University of Cultural Heritage and Japanese designer Kosei Shirotani led an initiative to encourage young artists to produce works inspired by the history of Buyeo, South Chungcheong, which was the capital of the Baekje Kingdom (18 BC-AD 660). About 50 paintings, pieces of woodwork and ceramics are on display, all created through the study of antiquities and documents of the kingdom. Provided by Yeol Society for Korean Cultural Heritage
