The Nam Seoul Annex Building of Seoul Museum of Art held an exhibition called “Korean Alphabet: The Art of Inspiration and Interaction.” A total of 17 artists have used hangeul, the Korean alphabet, as their inspiration in creating a range of works including drawings, designs and calligraphy. Hangeul was created in 1443 and is a source of much pride for Koreans, who tout it as scientific, philosophical and easy to learn.
