British American Tobacco slims down price of Vogues
British America Tobacco said yesterday that it is lowering the price of its slim tobacco.The company said that starting March 14, all of its Vogue cigarettes will be sold for 2,300 won ($2.10), compared to the current 2,500 won.
The company lowered the price of Dunhill Finecut Superslim from 2,700 won to 2,500 won in January. Slim cigarettes account for 30 percent of all tobacco sales in Korea.
Recently, the market share for foreign brands has been shrinking due to their relatively expensive price compared to local competitor KT&G.
