Mighty big part
Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) said yesterday that it has signed a contract with Airbus to supply $400 million worth of A321 16A barrel panels until 2025. That means 15 barrel panels will be supplied to Airbus every month. This is an increase from the previous contract in which KAI supplied five panels a month.
The panel is crucial in a plane as it is the middle part that holds the front and the back together.
KAI said as sales of Airbus’ A321 have gone up, so has the demand for the plane’s parts.
