Kumho Asiana Group chief helps employees with cancer

Kumho Asiana Group said yesterday that Chairman Park Sam-koo has donated his own money to help 12 employees with cancer. The 68-year-old Park, who heads the group that includes Kumho Tire and Asiana Airlines, visited the hospitalized workers last weekend. Last year, the chairman arranged medical treatment for Truong Vinh Thuan, a 26-year-old Vietnamese employee who was seriously injured at the Kumho Tire factory in Vietnam. The Vietnam government expressed its appreciation through Bui Quang Vinh, minister of planning and investment.
