[Sponsored Report] Osong Korea organizers meet as expo approaches

Osong Korea 2013 appointed 29 new members to its organizing committee on Wednesday. The cosmetics and beauty expo begins next month.

The organizing committee of the Cosmetics & Beauty Expo, Osong Korea 2013 held a conference on Wednesday to encourage staff members who are working hard to prepare for a successful opening.

The meeting included Governor of North Chungcheong Lee Si-jong, Minister of Food and Drug Safety Chung Seung and 150 other officials. New organizing committee members from the province were appointed and briefed about progress so far. They also visited expo facilities.

The conference also exhorted more participation from domestic visitors across the country in order to ensure the success of the international event. Only 30 days are left until the grand opening, and the committee put emphasis on public relations and ticket sales.

“I think North Chungcheong is lucky to hold this expo, especially given the competition from other local governments,” Lee said. “We hope to lead the new generation of beauty and cosmetics.”

Osong Korea 2013 will take place from May 3 to 26 near Osong KTX Station. It includes international academic conferences such as a working group meeting for the cosmetics division of the International Organization for Standardization and a gathering for the Asian Cosmetic Forum.

But the expo is not just focused on beauty industry insiders. It aims to involve everyone interested in cosmetics under the theme of a healthy and beautiful life. More than a million visitors are expected.
