The KBS 2 “Entertainment Weekly” aired an interview with Min Won-gi, an elder brother of the father of the singer, whose real name is Min Sun-ye. Sunye, 23, who married in January, tweeted recently that she was three months pregnant.
“Sunye will come back as early as the second half of next year,” her uncle told the popular entertainment news show.
“There will be no breakup of Wonder Girls.”
The five-member girl group went on hiatus after Sunye became the first in the group to marry, leading to speculation that Wonder Girls would disband. The four other members are currently working on individual projects.
She tweeted last Thursday that it was a “honeymoon baby,” but still some people speculated that Sunye, a devout Christian, was not chaste before marriage.
Her uncle denied the speculation. “They didn’t rush the wedding,” he said.
