Samsung C&T has contracts in Singapore and MoroccoSamsung C&T, a construction arm of Samsung Group, said yesterday it has secured a total of $892 million worth of projects in Singapore and Morocco.
The company said it won a $542 million contract to construct a hotel and building in Singapore after reaching a deal with Singpore’s Guoco Land. The project includes a 20-story hotel and 64-story residential and office building in Singapore’s business district. The 290-meter (951-foot) tall structure would be the highest building in the city state, according to the company.
In Morocco, the company signed a $350 million deal to build two plants in the Jorf Lasfar industrial park that would process phosphate rock into fertilizer. It is the first time Samsung C&T has done business in Morocco.
