KAL reaches agreement with Myanmar Airways

Korean Air Lines, nation’s largest flag carrier, said yesterday it signed an MOU with Myanmar Airways International to further cooperate on the operation of flights.

Myanmar Airways International, which was established in 1993, currently flies to seven foreign cities. With the MOU, KAL and Myanmar Airways will cooperate on passenger service, flights, security and related areas. The MOU also includes code-sharing agreement. KAL, the affiliate of Hanjin Group, operates daily direct flights between Incheon and Yangon flights. The company said the MOU will expand its presence in Myanmar market, while offering a more comfortable flight schedule to local customers.
