Lotte Gallery in Jamsil, southern Seoul, is holding an exhibition called “Kim Joo-young Embroidery.” Kim, who worked at a magazine company for 20 years, studied traditional clothing design in her 40s. Since 2007, she has narrowed her studies to embroidery work that features Korean wild flowers. While she studied both Japanese and British wild flower embroidery styles, she said she developed the quintessential Korean wild flower embroidery style by adding fine and soft touches.
