Gas prices continue to decline for fifth straight week

Gas prices are continuing to fall. According to Opinet, a government Web site that offers information on gas prices, the average gasoline price at the pump last week was 1,963.6 won per liter ($6.58 per gallon). This is a 6.9 won drop from the previous week.

The gasoline price has been falling for five consecutive weeks. Diesel price also fell.

Last week, the average price of diesel at the gas station was 1,757.4 won, 7.9 won cheaper than the previous week.

Still, gasoline price in Seoul was the most expensive, selling for 2,040.8 won per liter. Sejong City trailed behind at 1,981.1 won.
