Soldiers from the Korean Navy and the U.S. 7th Fleet, which is stationed in Yokosuka, Japan, practice for a joint recital. The Korean Navy will hold a recital with the U.S. soldiers to commemorate Adm. Yi Sun-shin’s 468th birthday (April 28) today at 7:30 p.m. at KBS concert hall in Yeouido, western Seoul, and at 3 p.m. at Bexco Auditorium in Busan on Sunday. Yi, a Joseon-era admiral, was born in 1545 in Jung District, central Seoul. He became a legend in Korea for his defeat of Japan in the Imjin War (1592-98). [NEWSIS]
