Anything but traditional
A merchant at Junggok Jeil Market demonstrates a smartphone-based card payment system from SK Telecom called “beep” yesterday. The nation’s largest mobile carrier, which has offered ICT solutions, management and marketing support for traditional markets, said beep will increase competitiveness of small shops that rely on deliveries. Sellers need only an application and card reader. The company said it also offers “smart flyer,” which sends product information to customers’ smartphones.
